One Cold Night Part III – The Awakening

Shannon Taylor awoke alone in the bedroom of her small, east side apartment. Reaching for the clock, she picked it up, it read 7am. Damn, she thought to herself. Saturdays were meant for sleeping, and she had only had about 3 hours total. She fell back on her pillow and sighed as her thoughts drifted to Todd. She glanced over at the empty space beside her, where Todd sometimes slept, with her in his arms. She caressed the pillow as she thought of how much he meant to her and how she could not imagine ever being without him; yet last night had been a different tune. They had a huge fight and she had not taken his calls since last night, and then he had stopped trying. She ask herself why she always had to be so stubborn. She knew he loved her, even if he did not show it sometimes.

Todd had always been there for her, even when no one else was. He was the only person she really trusted and definitely the only person she would ever love, and she loved him more than life itself. She found herself day dreaming about that silky blonde hair of his, and those deep green eyes. Those eyes. She could get lost in them when he looked at her the way that he did. He had the most beautiful smile and the sexiest body she had ever seen. He was tall, but there was nothing lanky about him. His shoulders were broad and his chest was as hard as a rock with muscles. His chest was scattered with dark blonde, almost brown hairs that met in the middle of his chest, and made a trail down to his slim waist. Below that was indescribable. The only thing she could think of was that it hurt to look at him in a pair of jeans.

Slinging the covers off, her feet hit the floor, she headed for the kitchen mumbling under her breath, cursing herself for letting him get to her without even being present. Suddenly, she was stopped in her tracks as she heard the window creaking open……..
